A washable mesh pre-filter catches the coarse droplets and spreads the airflow evenly across the cabinet section.

Primary Collection

Charged particles are drawn onto the first bank of grounded plates. Collected grease drains down to the tray.

A single LK-E0 unit runs to 40,000 m³/h (LK400E0), which is the largest single unit in the LK-E family. LK-E1 and LK-E2 each run to 24,000 m³/h (LK240E1 and LK240E2). The smallest units start at 3,000 m³/h for LK-E1 and LK-E2 and at 4,000 m³/h for LK-E0. For 1 m³/h read roughly 0.589 CFM. Above the single-unit ceiling, units are combined horizontally or stacked in two or three layers, and our engineering team lays out the arrangement for your duct run.

What is the pressure drop of an LK-E unit?

Equipment resistance is a fixed figure per tier in the brochure: 23 Pa for LK-E1, 31 Pa for LK-E0 and 34 Pa for LK-E2. Those figures are for the electrostatic stage itself. Add the resistance of any UV-C or activated carbon module placed downstream — the carbon module is rated 150 Pa — plus the ductwork and any airflow distribution plate, then size the exhaust fan against the total. Because the collector cells are washed rather than replaced, resistance stays steady over a maintenance cycle instead of climbing the way a loaded mesh filter does.

Can UV-C and activated carbon modules be added to an LK-E system?

Yes. The LK-E cabinet is built as one stage in a modular line. A UV-C photolysis module can be placed downstream to work on cooking odors and VOCs, and an activated carbon module can be placed after that for residual odor adsorption.
