Where UV Odor Control Is Essential
When ESP alone cannot eliminate cooking odors, UV-C photolysis provides the chemical-free solution for complete air purification.

Restaurant Kitchen ESP Solution
Chinese wok, Western grill, Japanese teppanyaki — customized ESP for every cooking style.

Hotel Kitchen ESP System
Centralized ESP for banquet halls, all-day dining, specialty restaurants & room service.

Chain Restaurant ESP Filtration
Standardized ESP for multi-location rollouts. Consistent specs across 100+ locations.

Food Court ESP Purification
Centralized ESP handling 60,000+ m³/h from multiple vendors. Modular scalable design.

BBQ Smoke Control ESP
Heavy-smoke environments. ESP + UV-C combo eliminates smoke and intense cooking odors.

Café & Bakery ESP Filtration
Compact, quiet ESP for baking fumes and light grease. Ideal for urban storefronts.
Why ESP Alone Is Not Enough
ESP Removes Particles. UV Removes Odors.
Electrostatic precipitators are extremely effective at capturing grease and smoke particles (95–99%). But they do not eliminate cooking odors — the gaseous VOCs that cause neighbor complaints, regulatory violations, and failed inspections.
UV-C Photolysis Closes the Gap
UV-C lamps break down odor molecules at the molecular level through photolysis and ozone oxidation. No chemicals, no filters to replace, no ongoing consumable costs. Just clean, odor-free exhaust.
- Decomposes VOCs, aldehydes, and cooking odors
- Reduces grease buildup in downstream ductwork
- Meets strict urban emission and odor regulations
- Zero consumables — only lamp replacement every 8,000–12,000 hours
- Works alongside ESP for complete air purification
- Prevents neighbor complaints and business shutdowns
Why Choose Polygee UV Odor Control
20+ years of ESP and UV engineering. Purpose-built for commercial kitchen exhaust environments.
UV-C + Ozone Dual Action
Photolysis breaks molecular bonds. Ozone oxidizes remaining VOCs. Two mechanisms for maximum odor removal.
Zero Consumables
No activated carbon or chemical filters to replace. Only UV lamp replacement every 8,000–12,000 hours.
Modular & Stackable
Add more UV modules for higher airflow. Stack with ESP modules for complete purification systems.
304 Stainless Steel
Full stainless steel housing. Corrosion-resistant. Designed for hot, greasy, high-moisture environments.
Low Energy Consumption
UV lamps consume minimal power compared to chemical scrubbers. Low operating cost per m³.
Safety Interlock
Auto shutdown when access door opens. Protects maintenance staff from UV-C exposure. Double safety.
Easy Retrofit
Installs directly into existing ductwork. No major renovation required. Compatible with any ESP brand.
OEM / ODM Available
Custom sizes, lamp configurations, and branding for distributors and system integrators.
How UV-C Photolysis Odor Control Works
A chemical-free process that breaks down odor molecules using UV light and ozone.
Exhaust Enters UV Module
After passing through ESP (grease removal), exhaust air containing VOCs and odors enters the UV-C module.
→UV-C Photolysis
High-intensity 185nm + 254nm UV-C lamps break molecular bonds of odor compounds. Simultaneously generates ozone (O₃).
→Ozone Oxidation
O₃ reacts with remaining VOCs, aldehydes, and organic compounds — converting them into CO₂ and H₂O.
→Clean, Odor-Free Exhaust
Purified air is discharged with no visible smoke, no detectable odor. Meets the strictest urban emission standards.
UV-C vs. Other Odor Control Methods
✅ UV-C Photolysis (Polygee)
Zero consumables. Chemical-free. Breaks down odors at molecular level. Low maintenance — only lamp replacement every 8,000+ hours. No filter waste. Pairs perfectly with ESP.
💰 Low Lifetime Cost
No ongoing filter purchases. No chemical refills. No disposal fees. UV lamp replacement is the only recurring cost — typically every 12–18 months depending on usage.
❌ Activated Carbon Filters
Effective initially but saturates quickly in high-grease environments. Requires frequent replacement (every 3–6 months). High ongoing consumable cost. Creates filter waste.
❌ Chemical Scrubbers
Water and chemical consumption. Complex plumbing. Wastewater treatment required. Higher energy and maintenance costs. Not suitable for most urban restaurants.
UV as Part of a Complete Kitchen Air System
UV-C works best as the second or third stage in a multi-stage kitchen air purification system.
HMI Control Panel
Touch screen panel with LED digital display. Status indicators: Power • Working • Fault. Wall-mounted remote control panel available.
Intelligent Power Supply
Self-developed SMPS with microsecond-level arc suppression, auto short-circuit recovery, and smart wireless power setting via handheld controller.
Modular Design
Stackable UV + ESP modules. Add more units for higher airflow. Plug-and-play design for easy installation and seamless capacity expansion.
