Quick answer: Polygee works as a factory-direct ecology unit supplier in Saudi Arabia projects, shipping kitchen ecology units from its own factory in Zhangjiagang, China, with a minimum order of one unit and a standard lead time of 7 to 15 days. Three things change when the destination is Saudi Arabia rather than the UAE. The site supply is 60 Hz, so the unit is configured for it on the order. Customs clearance runs through SASO’s SABER platform, which is registered by the importer of record, with the technical file coming from us. And the Incoterm should name the port that suits the project city, because the Kingdom is served from two coasts. This page sets out those three points, our commercial terms in full, the documents we prepare for a consultant or authority, and the ten inputs that make a Saudi quotation comparable with any other.
This page helps you decide whether a factory-direct ecology unit suits your Saudi project, and what to put in the first enquiry. It does not size a unit, quote a price, register anything on SABER or file with a Saudi authority. For sizes and stage tables, see the kitchen ecology unit page; for what sets the number, see ecology unit price; for the UAE version of these terms, see ecology unit supplier in UAE.

What a factory-direct order covers in Saudi Arabia, and what stays with your contractor
A factory-direct order covers the equipment, the paperwork and remote support. Everything that happens on site in Saudi Arabia stays with your local contractor, and one thing that happens at the border, SABER registration, stays with the importer of record. Settle who owns each line below before comparing offers, because a line left out of one quotation does not disappear; it moves to another invoice.
| Item | Factory-direct from Polygee | Your Saudi contractor or importer | What it means for your quote |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electrostatic, UV-C and activated carbon stages, with their control gear | Supplied, configured for the stated site supply | — | The part every offer should price the same way, so state the stages, the airflow and the supply |
| Extract fan | Available with the ecology unit, selected on the total static pressure of the configuration | Usually in the ventilation package | Say which you want, or the offer that includes a fan will read as the dearer one |
| Ductwork, transition pieces, attenuators and any fire protection on the duct | Not supplied | Yes | Adapter work left unstated turns into a variation after the order |
| Supports, hangers and structural work | Not supplied | Yes | Module weights for the hanger schedule are set out in ecology unit installation |
| Installation labor and commissioning attendance | Not included; paid on-site service is available | Yes | Price installation locally against our general arrangement drawings |
| Import clearance on SABER | Technical file supplied | The importer of record registers the product and obtains the certificates | Agree who the importer is before the proforma invoice is issued |
| Submission documents | Prepared against the reviewer’s list | The list itself, from the consultant or authority | A late request delays approval, not delivery |
| Making the submission | We supply the pack | Whoever holds the project submission | Tell us who that is, so the pack follows their list |
| Spare parts and consumables | Common spares held in stock; parts supplied for one year after a model is discontinued | Decide the holding you want | Quote them with the unit, so the first consumable order is budgeted |
This table answers who supplies what. It does not answer what any of it costs; that follows the stage list and the airflow.
Site power: 60 Hz, and the voltage you actually have
Saudi Arabia runs its grid at 60 Hz under the Saudi Arabian Grid Code, where most of the Gulf, the UAE and Qatar included, runs at 50 Hz. Our brochure input supply is 220 V, 50 Hz, so a unit for a Saudi site is configured for 60 Hz on the order, together with a 380 V three-phase build where the site is wired that way. Nothing about this is unusual. It is a line on the order that has to be there.
The voltage is the second point, and it is less tidy than the frequency. The Kingdom adopted a unified 230/400 V standard, with the plan approved in 2010, and new connections are designed to it. Installations wired before the change at 127/220 V are still in service. Do not copy a figure from a standard into the enquiry. Write down what the electrical contractor measures at the panel that will feed the unit, with the phase count, and we configure the order to that.
| Site fact | Where to read it | What it changes on the order |
|---|---|---|
| Frequency | The utility connection; 60 Hz across the Kingdom | The high-voltage power supply of the electrostatic stage is configured for 60 Hz |
| Voltage and phase | The panel schedule and a measurement at the panel | A 220 V single-phase or 380 V three-phase build; other supplies are configured to order |
| Feeder route and isolator position | The electrical contractor’s drawings | Nothing on the unit; it decides whether the access side of the run stays clear |
This table answers what to state about the supply. It does not answer whether the site’s feeder is adequate; that check belongs to your electrical contractor.
Import clearance on SABER: who does what
SABER is the online platform of the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization, SASO, through which imported products are certified before they enter the Kingdom. Saudi importers of products under the regulated technical regulations have used it since June 2019, and the GCC Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances is one of the regulations it covers. Two certificates are issued through the platform: a product certificate of conformity for the product, and a shipment certificate of conformity for each consignment. A consignment under a regulated technical regulation is not allowed into the Kingdom without them.
The registration belongs to the importer of record, working with an approved conformity assessment body. Our part is the technical file the body asks for. The split below is the one to agree before the proforma invoice is issued, because the shipment certificate is issued to the importer, and a consignment with no importer named cannot start the process.
| Step | Who does it | What we supply |
|---|---|---|
| Name the importer of record | You, or your contractor | The proforma invoice, issued to that company |
| Classify the product against the declared HS code and the applicable technical regulation | The importer with the conformity assessment body | Specification sheets, general arrangement drawings and the electrical data of the offered configuration |
| Product certificate of conformity | Issued through SABER by the body | CE certificate FQC2602501 for the models it names, RoHS 2.0 certificate BKC25114877LC, the ISO certificates and third-party test reports for the models tested; anything beyond what we hold is said so in writing |
| Shipment certificate of conformity for the consignment | The importer, before arrival | Commercial invoice, packing list and the certificate references on them |
This table answers who does what on SABER. It does not answer whether a given unit falls under the Low Voltage Technical Regulation; the body decides that against the declared HS code, and the answer belongs in the enquiry before the proforma invoice, not after the goods arrive.
Commercial terms, stated up front
These are the terms that apply to a Saudi order. They are written out here so you can hold any offer against them, ours included.
| Term | What applies | What it means for your project |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum order | One unit | A single trial unit is a normal first order |
| Lead time | 7–15 days as standard | Freight time is added according to the route and the Incoterm |
| Payment | A 30% deposit releases production, with the balance settled before shipment; a 50% deposit is also available; T/T and L/C are both accepted | Schedule the balance ahead of the shipment date |
| Incoterms | EXW, FOB or CIF, arranged to suit the buyer | Tell us the delivery point and we quote on that basis |
| Warranty | One year on the complete unit, covering the collection cells and the SPP high-voltage power supply; UV lamps and activated carbon media are consumables and are not covered | Budget consumables separately; ecology unit filters sets out which stage is washed and which is consumed |
| Labor and site attendance | Not included; paid on-site service is available | Price installation and commissioning locally |
| Spare parts | Common spares held in stock; parts supplied for one year after a model is discontinued | Agree the spares holding with the order |
| Remote support | Video calls backed by illustrated manuals, Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:00 (GMT+8), which is 3:00–12:00 in Saudi Arabia | Plan commissioning questions for the Saudi morning |
| Your brand | Your logo on the unit and a different enclosure color; quantity and lead time for OEM builds agreed case by case | State it in the first enquiry, not after the order |
| Confidential drawings | An NDA can be signed by the company | Send it with the drawings |
| Factory inspection | Each unit is inspected before shipment | Ask what the inspection covers before you place the order |
This table answers what the terms are. It does not answer the price, which is set by the stage list and the airflow as explained in ecology unit price.
Jeddah, Dammam or Riyadh by rail: naming the port
Saudi Arabia is served from two coasts. Jeddah Islamic Port sits on the Red Sea and King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam sits on the Gulf; both are run by the Saudi Ports Authority, Mawani. Riyadh has no coast, but it has Riyadh Dry Port, connected to Dammam by the 550 km East Freight rail line operated by Saudi Arabia Railways. Which port the CIF quotation names is a project decision, not ours. It follows where the site is, where your forwarder clears, and whether the inland leg is in your scope.
| Project region | Usual gateway | What to write in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Jeddah, Makkah, Madinah and the west | Jeddah Islamic Port | “CIF Jeddah”, and who clears at the port |
| Dammam, Al Khobar, Jubail and the Eastern Province | King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam | “CIF Dammam”, and who clears at the port |
| Riyadh and the central region | Dammam, then road or the East Freight line to Riyadh Dry Port | “CIF Dammam”, and whether the inland leg is yours or your forwarder’s |
| Anywhere, when your forwarder books the sea leg | The Chinese load port named on the proforma invoice | “FOB” or “EXW”, with your forwarder’s details |
This table answers which port to name. It does not answer the transit time; ask for it with the proforma invoice, add it to the 7–15 day lead time, and check the total against your on-site date.
Documents for the consultant or the authority
We prepare the submission pack against the list your reviewer issues: certificates, third-party test reports, general arrangement drawings and specification sheets, put together for the market you are submitting in. Saudi approvals themselves stay with your contractor. The reviewing authority and the consultant assess the installation through the project’s own submission, and SABER certificates are import documents, not installation approvals.
| Document | What it supports | What it does not prove on its own | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| CE certificate FQC2602501 (Machinery, EMC and Low Voltage directives, valid to 9 January 2031) | Conformity of the models it names: LK30–LK480, LK30E1–LK150E1 and the UV series | Coverage of any model not named on it | Match the model numbers in the offer against the certificate |
| RoHS 2.0 certificate BKC25114877LC | Restricted-substance compliance for the lines it names, the LK-E series included | Coverage beyond the lines it names | The same model-number check |
| ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificates (ABZB25Q30072R3M, ABZB25E30043R3M, ABZB25S30027R2M) | The management systems the factory works under, the carbon stage included | The performance of any particular unit | Ask for copies with the pack |
| Third-party test reports | The result for the model and the condition tested | The result for a different model or a different condition | Ask which report covers the model being offered |
| General arrangement drawings and specification sheets | Dimensions, flange sizes, weights and electrical supply of the offered configuration | That the run fits your plant room; that check belongs to your contractor | Send them to whoever coordinates the plant room or ceiling void |
This table answers what each document can carry in a submission. It does not answer what your reviewer will accept; only their list does that. Send it to us early in the enquiry and we will work out with you how to cover each item.
The certificates behind these numbers are listed by product line on our ESP certifications page. The company facts a vendor registration usually asks for are on our electrostatic precipitator supplier profile.
Sizes at a glance
One treatment run covers 3,000 to 15,000 m³/h in eight sizes: 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, 6,000, 8,000, 10,000, 12,000 and 15,000 m³/h, or about 1,766 to 8,830 CFM. Above 15,000 m³/h the extract is split into parallel runs, confirmed on the project drawing.
The extract rate fixes the size of the UV and carbon modules. The cooking load then sets the electrostatic tier. The LK-E stage comes in three grades, at or above 90, 95 and 98 percent design efficiency: charcoal, grill and heavy wok lines sit at the top of that range, and cafés at the bottom. The carbon media is coal-based columnar activated carbon with an iodine value of at least 800 mg/g.
Two site facts decide whether a size fits. The access side of the UV and carbon stages needs 1,000 mm clear for maintenance. The brochure input supply is 220 V, 50 Hz, with 380 V and 60 Hz configured to order, which is why the Saudi enquiry carries the supply on its first line. The full stage tables, flange sizes and carbon frame counts are on the kitchen ecology unit page.
Projects on record, and what to send for a quotation
There is no Saudi Arabia installation on our published project list, and this page does not pretend otherwise. The Gulf projects we can name are set out below. Ask about either when you send an enquiry, and treat both for what they are: evidence that factory-direct supply into Gulf hospitality and retail projects has run before, not evidence of a result at your discharge.
| Project | Country | Equipment | Units |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dubai Mall, 2017 | UAE | ODM units | 40 |
| Waldorf Astoria Lusail | Qatar | LK-E series | 30 |
An enquiry that says “ecology unit, send price” gets back a number that cannot be compared with anything. The sheet below is what turns it into a quotation you can line up against other offers, including a local stockist’s. It carries two lines the UAE sheet does not: the importer of record, and the frequency. The market-neutral version of that sheet, with where each input is found and what you receive against it, is our 10-input ESP enquiry sheet.
Saudi Arabia ecology unit enquiry sheet
| # | Send us | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Extract rate in m³/h or CFM, and who set it | Fixes the module size in every stage |
| 2 | Cooking style and load | Sets the electrostatic tier |
| 3 | Plant room or ceiling void dimensions, with the access side marked | Decides whether the run goes in line or stacked |
| 4 | Site power supply: voltage, phase and frequency, as measured at the panel | Saudi sites are 60 Hz; the brochure input is 220 V, 50 Hz, and other supplies are configured to order |
| 5 | Whether the extract fan is in our scope | Keeps offers comparable |
| 6 | The importer of record, and which conformity assessment body they use | The proforma invoice and the technical file go to the right company from the start |
| 7 | Port and preferred Incoterm | Fixes the freight basis of the proforma invoice |
| 8 | Who reviews the submission, and the document list they issue | Lets us assemble the pack to that list |
| 9 | Required on-site date | Shows whether the lead time plus freight fits your programme |
| 10 | The spares holding you want quoted | Puts the first consumable order in the same offer |
What you get back:
- A stage-by-stage configuration naming the electrostatic tier and the UV and carbon modules, configured for the stated supply
- The pressure drop of each stage at your airflow, with its basis stated as cell body or complete module
- A proforma invoice on your Incoterm, issued to the importer of record
- The submission pack list, matched to your reviewer, and the technical file list for the conformity assessment body
- The warranty and consumable boundary, in writing
There is no list price, because the number follows the stage list and the airflow. Ecology unit price explains what moves it.
Scope and limits
Three layers clear separately. Layer one, the offer: the configuration, the terms and the documents. Layer two, the site: import clearance, installation, ductwork, supports and access decide whether that configuration goes in as quoted. Layer three, operation: delivered airflow, capture at the hood, cleaning and consumables decide the result at the discharge. Passing one layer does not clear the next.
- No prices appear on this page. Send the enquiry sheet and the price comes back against a stated configuration.
- No transit time is stated. Ask for it with the proforma invoice and add it to the 7–15 day lead time.
- SABER certificates are the importer’s. We supply the technical file; we do not register, and nothing here says a unit is registered.
- Certificates cover the models they name. Check the model numbers on each certificate against the offer, ours included.
- Nothing here is an approval. The reviewing consultant or authority decides on the documents submitted, so send us their list before the pack is assembled.
- No consumable interval is given. Carbon and lamp replacement are set in writing for your site with the configuration proposal.
Key takeaways
- Supply: a Saudi order carries 60 Hz and the measured voltage on its first line, not a figure copied from the UAE sheet.
- Clearance: the importer of record registers on SABER and we supply the technical file; agree the importer before the proforma invoice, not at the port.
- Port: the Incoterm names Jeddah or Dammam by project region, or hands the sea leg to your forwarder with FOB or EXW.
- Documents: a certificate covers the model numbers it names, so match numbers rather than logos.
- Enquiry: ten inputs make quotations comparable; “send price” does not.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you configure the ecology unit for Saudi Arabia’s 60 Hz supply?
- Yes. The brochure input supply is 220 V, 50 Hz, and 60 Hz is configured to order, as are 380 V three-phase builds. Put the frequency on the first line of the enquiry, together with the voltage and phase the electrical contractor measures at the panel that will feed the unit. The power supply is configured at the factory, so a frequency left off the order is a change order later, not a site adjustment.
- Who registers the ecology unit on SABER?
- The importer of record does, through an approved conformity assessment body. The product certificate and the shipment certificate are both issued through SABER, and a consignment under a regulated technical regulation is not released without them. Our part is the technical file: specification sheets, general arrangement drawings, electrical data, the CE and RoHS certificates for the models they name, the ISO certificates and the third-party test reports for the models tested. Name the importer in the enquiry so the proforma invoice is issued to the right company.
- Which Saudi port should the quotation name?
- It follows the project city. Jeddah Islamic Port serves the west, King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam serves the Eastern Province, and Riyadh is reached from Dammam by road or by the East Freight rail line to Riyadh Dry Port. If your forwarder handles the sea leg, ask for FOB or EXW instead and the port question moves to them. State the delivery point and the Incoterm in the enquiry and the proforma invoice is priced on that basis.
- Have you supplied ecology units in Saudi Arabia?
- There is no Saudi Arabia installation on our published project list. The Gulf projects we can name are Dubai Mall in the UAE, 2017, with 40 ODM units, and the Waldorf Astoria Lusail in Qatar, with 30 LK-E series units. Neither is a Saudi site and neither proves a result at your discharge. Ask about either when you enquire, and judge the offer on the configuration, the terms and the documents.
- How do I get a price for an ecology unit in Saudi Arabia?
- Send the extract rate, the cooking style, the plant room dimensions and the site supply with its frequency. Add whether the fan is in scope, who the importer of record is, the port and Incoterm, the reviewer’s document list and the required on-site date. There is no list price, because the stage list and the airflow decide most of the number. You get back a stage-by-stage configuration, the pressure drop of each stage with its basis stated, and a proforma invoice on EXW, FOB or CIF terms.
Planning an ecology unit for a Saudi kitchen?
Send us the extract rate, the cooking style, the plant room dimensions and the site supply with its frequency. We will come back with a stage-by-stage configuration for that supply and the pressure drop of each stage at your airflow, with its basis stated. You get back a proforma invoice on EXW, FOB or CIF terms to the port you name, issued to your importer of record, and the list of documents we will prepare for your reviewer and for the conformity assessment body.
