Quick answer: Polygee works as a factory-direct ecology unit supplier in Qatar projects, shipping kitchen ecology units from its own factory in Zhangjiagang, China, and has one Qatar installation on record: the Waldorf Astoria Lusail, supplied with 30 LK-E series electrostatic units. The minimum order is one unit and the standard lead time is 7 to 15 days, on EXW, FOB or CIF Hamad Port terms. Qatar’s low-voltage network runs at 240/415 V, 50 Hz, the same frequency as our brochure input, so the order needs the voltage and phase count stated and no frequency change. Installation, ductwork and the submission to the consultant or the authority stay with your contractor. This page sets out what the Lusail record does and does not tell you, what a factory-direct order covers, our terms in full, the documents we prepare, and the nine inputs that make a Qatar quotation comparable with any other.
This page helps you decide whether a factory-direct ecology unit suits your Qatar project, how much weight to put on a supplier’s project record, and what to put in the first enquiry. It does not size a unit, quote a price, or file anything with a Qatar authority. For sizes and stage tables, see the kitchen ecology unit page; for what sets the number, see ecology unit price; for the UAE and Saudi versions of these terms, see ecology unit supplier in UAE and ecology unit supplier in Saudi Arabia.

A Qatar installation on record, and what it does not tell you
The Waldorf Astoria Lusail in Qatar was supplied with 30 LK-E series electrostatic units from our factory. That is the whole of the public record, and it is worth being exact about what a line like that can carry in a procurement decision. It shows that a factory-direct order into a Qatar hotel project has run before, at that quantity and with the LK-E stage. It does not show what any of those units delivers at its discharge today, and it says nothing about your kitchen.
| Item | On record | What it supports | What it does not prove |
|---|---|---|---|
| Project | Waldorf Astoria Lusail, Qatar | A multi-kitchen hotel project in Qatar supplied from the factory | Acceptance by your consultant or authority |
| Equipment | LK-E series electrostatic units | The LK-E stage described on this page has been delivered at project scale | Performance of any UV or carbon stage, which the record does not list |
| Quantity | 30 units | Production and shipment of a multi-unit order to Qatar | The result at the discharge of any one of them, or of yours |
This table answers what the record is. It does not answer how your installation will perform; that depends on your cooking load, the delivered airflow, capture at the hood and how the cells are cleaned, none of which a past project can settle.
What a factory-direct order covers in Qatar, and what stays with your contractor
A factory-direct order covers the equipment, the paperwork and remote support. Everything that happens on site in Qatar stays with your local contractor. Settle who owns each line below before comparing offers, because a line left out of one quotation does not disappear; it moves to another invoice.
| Item | Factory-direct from Polygee | Your Qatar contractor | What it means for your quote |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electrostatic, UV-C and activated carbon stages, with their control gear | Supplied | — | The part every offer should price the same way, so state the stages and the airflow |
| Extract fan | Available with the ecology unit, selected on the total static pressure of the configuration | Usually in the ventilation package | Say which you want, or the offer that includes a fan will read as the dearer one |
| Ductwork, transition pieces, attenuators and any fire protection on the duct | Not supplied | Yes | Adapter work left unstated turns into a variation after the order |
| Supports, hangers and structural work | Not supplied | Yes | Module weights for the hanger schedule are set out in ecology unit installation |
| Installation labor and commissioning attendance | Not included; paid on-site service is available | Yes | Price installation locally against our general arrangement drawings |
| Import clearance at Hamad Port | Commercial invoice, packing list and the technical file | Your importer or forwarder | Name who clears the goods, so the documents are issued to them |
| Submission documents | Prepared against the reviewer’s list | The list itself, from the consultant or authority | A late request delays approval, not delivery |
| Making the submission | We supply the pack | Whoever holds the project submission | Tell us who that is, so the pack follows their list |
| Spare parts and consumables | Common spares held in stock; parts supplied for one year after a model is discontinued | Decide the holding you want | Quote them with the unit, so the first consumable order is budgeted |
This table answers who supplies what. It does not answer what any of it costs; that follows the stage list and the airflow.
Commercial terms, stated up front
These are the terms that apply to a Qatar order. They are written out here so you can hold any offer against them, ours included.
| Term | What applies | What it means for your project |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum order | One unit | A single trial unit is a normal first order |
| Lead time | 7–15 days as standard | Freight time is added according to the route and the Incoterm |
| Payment | A 30% deposit releases production, with the balance settled before shipment; a 50% deposit is also available; T/T and L/C are both accepted | Schedule the balance ahead of the shipment date |
| Incoterms | EXW, FOB or CIF, arranged to suit the buyer | Tell us the delivery point and we quote on that basis |
| Warranty | One year on the complete unit, covering the collection cells and the SPP high-voltage power supply; UV lamps and activated carbon media are consumables and are not covered | Budget consumables separately; ecology unit filters sets out which stage is washed and which is consumed |
| Labor and site attendance | Not included; paid on-site service is available | Price installation and commissioning locally |
| Spare parts | Common spares held in stock; parts supplied for one year after a model is discontinued | Agree the spares holding with the order |
| Remote support | Video calls backed by illustrated manuals, Monday to Friday, 8:00–17:00 (GMT+8), which is 3:00–12:00 in Qatar | Plan commissioning questions for the Qatar morning |
| Your brand | Your logo on the unit and a different enclosure color; quantity and lead time for OEM builds agreed case by case | State it in the first enquiry, not after the order |
| Confidential drawings | An NDA can be signed by the company | Send it with the drawings |
| Factory inspection | Each unit is inspected before shipment | Ask what the inspection covers before you place the order |
This table answers what the terms are. It does not answer the price, which is set by the stage list and the airflow as explained in ecology unit price.
Site power in Qatar: 240/415 V, 50 Hz
Qatar’s low-voltage network, run by Kahramaa, is 240/415 V at 50 Hz. The frequency matches our brochure input supply of 220 V, 50 Hz, so a Qatar order carries no frequency change; that is the one line the Saudi enquiry needs and the Qatar enquiry does not. What the order does carry is the voltage and the phase count. The brochure input is single-phase, and a 380 V three-phase build is configured to order where the site is wired that way.
| Site fact | Where to read it | What to state in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Frequency | The Kahramaa connection; 50 Hz across Qatar | Nothing beyond confirming 50 Hz; no configuration change follows |
| Voltage and phase | The panel schedule and a measurement at the panel feeding the unit | 240 V single-phase or 415 V three-phase as measured; the build is configured to the stated supply |
| Isolator position and feeder route | The electrical contractor’s drawings | Nothing on the unit; it decides whether the access side of the run stays clear |
This table answers what to state about the supply. It does not answer whether the feeder is adequate for the configuration; that check belongs to your electrical contractor, against the electrical data on the specification sheet.
Hamad Port and the Incoterm
Qatar’s sea freight arrives through Hamad Port, operated by Mwani Qatar, which runs the container terminals, a general cargo terminal and a centralized customs inspection area on one site. A CIF quotation for a Qatar project names Hamad Port as the delivery point; a FOB or EXW quotation hands the sea leg to your forwarder and the port question moves to them. Transit time is the one figure this page cannot give you. Ask for it with the proforma invoice, add it to the 7–15 day lead time, and check the total against your on-site date.
Documents for the consultant or the authority
We prepare the submission pack against the list your reviewer issues: certificates, third-party test reports, general arrangement drawings and specification sheets, put together for the market you are submitting in. The approval itself stays with your contractor. The consultant and the authority review the installation through the project’s own submission, and nothing in the pack is an approval.
| Document | What it supports | What it does not prove on its own | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| CE certificate FQC2602501 (Machinery, EMC and Low Voltage directives, valid to 9 January 2031) | Conformity of the models it names: LK30–LK480, LK30E1–LK150E1 and the UV series | Coverage of any model not named on it | Match the model numbers in the offer against the certificate |
| RoHS 2.0 certificate BKC25114877LC | Restricted-substance compliance for the lines it names, the LK-E series included | Coverage beyond the lines it names | The same model-number check |
| ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificates (ABZB25Q30072R3M, ABZB25E30043R3M, ABZB25S30027R2M) | The management systems the factory works under, the carbon stage included | The performance of any particular unit | Ask for copies with the pack |
| Third-party test reports | The result for the model and the condition tested | The result for a different model or a different condition | Ask which report covers the model being offered |
| General arrangement drawings and specification sheets | Dimensions, flange sizes, weights and electrical supply of the offered configuration | That the run fits your plant room; that check belongs to your contractor | Send them to whoever coordinates the plant room or ceiling void |
This table answers what each document can carry in a submission. It does not answer what your reviewer will accept; only their list does that. Send it to us early in the enquiry and we will work out with you how to cover each item.
The certificates behind these numbers are listed by product line on our ESP certifications page. The company facts a vendor registration usually asks for are on our electrostatic precipitator supplier profile.
Sizes at a glance
One treatment run covers 3,000 to 15,000 m³/h in eight sizes: 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, 6,000, 8,000, 10,000, 12,000 and 15,000 m³/h, or about 1,766 to 8,830 CFM. Above 15,000 m³/h the extract is split into parallel runs, confirmed on the project drawing.
The extract rate fixes the size of the UV and carbon modules. The cooking load then sets the electrostatic tier. The LK-E stage comes in three grades, at or above 90, 95 and 98 percent design efficiency: charcoal, grill and heavy wok lines sit at the top of that range, and cafés at the bottom. The carbon media is coal-based columnar activated carbon with an iodine value of at least 800 mg/g.
Two site facts decide whether a size fits. The access side of the UV and carbon stages needs 1,000 mm clear for maintenance. The brochure input supply is 220 V, 50 Hz, with 380 V and 60 Hz configured to order. The full stage tables, flange sizes and carbon frame counts are on the kitchen ecology unit page.
Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain: same terms, different port
The terms on this page are not Qatar-specific. The minimum order, lead time, payment, warranty, spares and support apply to every destination we ship to. What changes from one Gulf state to the next is the port named on the CIF line, who clears the goods there, and, for Saudi Arabia alone, the frequency. Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain all run 50 Hz networks, so the enquiry from any of them looks like the Qatar one: voltage and phase as measured, and no frequency change.
| Destination | Ports commonly named on the CIF line | What changes in the enquiry |
|---|---|---|
| Kuwait | Shuwaikh Port or Shuaiba Port | The port, and who clears at it |
| Oman | Sohar Port or the Port of Salalah | The port, and who clears at it |
| Bahrain | Khalifa Bin Salman Port | The port, who clears at it, and the importer’s classification check with the Testing and Metrology Directorate; see ecology unit supplier in Bahrain |
| Saudi Arabia | Jeddah Islamic Port or King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam | The port, the importer of record for SABER, and the 60 Hz supply; see ecology unit supplier in Saudi Arabia |
This table answers what changes by destination. It does not answer which port suits your project; your forwarder confirms that against the site and the inland leg.
What to send for a quotation
An enquiry that says “ecology unit, send price” gets back a number that cannot be compared with anything. The sheet below is what turns it into a quotation you can line up against other offers, including a local trading company’s. The market-neutral version of that sheet, with where each input is found and what you receive against it, is our 10-input ESP enquiry sheet.
Qatar ecology unit enquiry sheet
| # | Send us | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Extract rate in m³/h or CFM, and who set it | Fixes the module size in every stage |
| 2 | Cooking style and load | Sets the electrostatic tier |
| 3 | Plant room or ceiling void dimensions, with the access side marked | Decides whether the run goes in line or stacked |
| 4 | Site power supply: voltage and phase, as measured at the panel | Qatar is 50 Hz, as the brochure input is; the voltage and phase set the build |
| 5 | Whether the extract fan is in our scope | Keeps offers comparable |
| 6 | Delivery point and preferred Incoterm, and who clears at Hamad Port | Fixes the freight basis of the proforma invoice and who the documents are issued to |
| 7 | Who reviews the submission, and the document list they issue | Lets us assemble the pack to that list |
| 8 | Required on-site date | Shows whether the lead time plus freight fits your programme |
| 9 | Whether you want the Lusail supply described in the offer | Puts the record in writing next to the configuration it is being compared with |
What you get back:
- A stage-by-stage configuration naming the electrostatic tier and the UV and carbon modules
- The pressure drop of each stage at your airflow, with its basis stated as cell body or complete module
- A proforma invoice on your Incoterm
- The submission pack list, matched to your reviewer
- The warranty and consumable boundary, in writing
There is no list price, because the number follows the stage list and the airflow. Ecology unit price explains what moves it.
Scope and limits
Three layers clear separately. Layer one, the offer: the configuration, the terms, the documents and the project record. Layer two, the site: installation, ductwork, supports and access decide whether that configuration goes in as quoted. Layer three, operation: delivered airflow, capture at the hood, cleaning and consumables decide the result at the discharge. Passing one layer does not clear the next, and a past project belongs to layer one only.
- No prices appear on this page. Send the enquiry sheet and the price comes back against a stated configuration.
- No transit time is stated. Ask for it with the proforma invoice and add it to the 7–15 day lead time.
- The Lusail record is a supply record. It does not carry a performance figure, and none is claimed from it here.
- Certificates cover the models they name. Check the model numbers on each certificate against the offer, ours included.
- Nothing here is an approval. The reviewing consultant or authority decides on the documents submitted, so send us their list before the pack is assembled.
- No consumable interval is given. Carbon and lamp replacement are set in writing for your site with the configuration proposal.
Key takeaways
- Record: a project line proves that supply has run before, not the result at your discharge; read the test report for that.
- Supply: Qatar is 50 Hz like the brochure input, so state voltage and phase and leave frequency alone.
- Port: CIF names Hamad Port and who clears there; FOB hands the sea leg to your forwarder.
- Documents: a certificate covers the model numbers it names, so match numbers rather than logos.
- Enquiry: nine inputs make quotations comparable; “send price” does not.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Have you supplied ecology units in Qatar?
- Yes. The Waldorf Astoria Lusail in Qatar was supplied with 30 LK-E series electrostatic units from our factory. The record shows that a factory-direct order into a Qatar hotel project has run before, at that quantity and with that stage. It does not show the result at your discharge, which depends on your cooking load, delivered airflow, capture at the hood and maintenance. Ask about the project when you enquire, and judge the offer on the configuration, the terms and the documents.
- Does the unit need reconfiguring for Qatar’s 240/415 V, 50 Hz supply?
- Not for the frequency. Qatar’s low-voltage network runs at 50 Hz, which is the brochure input frequency, so the order carries the voltage and phase count and nothing about frequency. The brochure input is 220 V single-phase, with 380 V three-phase configured to order. Write down what the electrical contractor measures at the panel that will feed the unit and we configure the order to that.
- Which documents can you provide for a Qatar submission?
- The pack is assembled against the list your consultant or authority issues. It can include CE certificate FQC2602501, which names LK30–LK480, LK30E1–LK150E1 and the UV series, and RoHS 2.0 certificate BKC25114877LC, which includes the LK-E series. It can also include ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certificates, third-party test reports for the models they were issued on, and general arrangement drawings and specification sheets for the offered configuration. Check the model numbers on each certificate against the offer before relying on it.
- How do I get a price for an ecology unit in Qatar?
- Send the extract rate, the cooking style, the plant room dimensions and the site power supply. Add whether the fan is in scope, the delivery point and Incoterm, the reviewer’s document list and the required on-site date. There is no list price, because the stage list and the airflow decide most of the number. You get back a stage-by-stage configuration, the pressure drop of each stage with its basis stated, and a proforma invoice on EXW, FOB or CIF Hamad Port terms.
- Do the same terms apply to Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain?
- Yes. The minimum order, lead time, payment, warranty, spares and support terms on this page apply to every destination. What changes is the port named on the CIF line and who clears the goods there. All three run 50 Hz networks, so, as in Qatar, the order carries the measured voltage and phase count and no frequency change. State the port and the importer in the enquiry and the proforma invoice is issued on that basis.
Planning an ecology unit for a Qatar kitchen?
Send us the extract rate, the cooking style, the plant room dimensions and the site supply. We will come back with a stage-by-stage configuration and the pressure drop of each stage at your airflow, with its basis stated. You get back a proforma invoice on EXW, FOB or CIF Hamad Port terms, the list of documents we will prepare for your reviewer, and, if you ask for it, the Lusail supply set out next to the offer.
